Your Yourney through our Practice
- On arrival, you will be greeted by our team of receptionists who will inform the
dentist that you have arrived.
- You will be asked to complete a medical history form whilst in the waiting area,
which will be kept confidentially in your records. If you need assistance completing
the form then please ask a member of staff who will be happy to help.
- You will then be called through to the surgery by your dental nurse or dentist where
you will meet the surgery team and your examination will begin. This will include
extra oral tissue examination, intra oral tissue examination, presenting symptoms
exam, hard tissue examination, tooth wear, occlusion/bite, tooth decay and gum health,
past dental history, oral hygiene and diet. All of this information will be used
to provide a risk assessment and therefore a tailor made treatment plan for your
needs.
- Digital x-rays may be required to complete your initial examination and your results
will be discussed with you in the surgery.
- Any treatment options will be discussed with you and costs will be explained. A printed,
detailed estimate will be given to you which we ask you to sign, a copy of which
is kept in your records and a copy for you. Feel free to ask any questions.
- Payment is taken on the day of your appointment and further appointments are made
at your convenience until your course of treatment is completed. Other payment plans
are available. We accept cash or cards (not Amex).
- Courtesy texts or e-mail reminders for long appointments may be sent to you.
- Check up reminders will be sent by e-mail, text or letter, whichever you prefer,
a few weeks before your next examination is due.
- A disabled parking bay is available to blue badge holders and should be requested
at the time of booking appointments to ensure that it is available to use on the
day.
- To ensure the smooth running of the practice, patient feedback and comments are
important to us and regular surveys are carried out. Comment and suggestion forms
are available in the waiting room.
